The Estates of Northpark

Development Committee Updates:  (As of 5/6/2010)

Northpark Homeowners: many of you may have seen this Times Picayne article regarding the rezoning the Tulane property which adjoins the north and west sides of our neighborhood.  This rezoning request and its potential ramifications was a surprise to us.  The Zoning Commission decision was discussed with the Versailles homeowners association and an appeal will be filed so that we can learn more about the ramifications of this decision.  We will attempt to find out more information regarding the rezoning request and distribute more information or schedule a meeting with homeowners prior to the next Parish vote on this Tulane request (June 1st or 3rd).

Concerned residents who wish to file an appeal personally can do so at the Parish Planning Department office on Koop Drive (must be done today or Friday).  We will also be looking for a neighborhood volunteer to coordinate some meetings (several members of our existing Planning Committee are out of town on business).  Contact Dan Weidlein via email (weidlein2@msn.com).
