Waste Management of St. Tammany offers weekly curbside trash collection for St. Tammany residents whose service is not provided by the City contacts. Household garbage (bulk trash, yard waste and discarded appliance 1st P/u day) is collected by experienced drivers and trained crews using modern equipment. The people of Waste Management know the needs of the communities that they service….They live there.

Terms of Service:
Curbside service is provided twice a week, Tuesday and Friday.  Recycling is provided on Wednesdays.
Holidays: Announcements regarding alternate collection are made in the area newspapers and via phone calls to your residence by Waste Management.

Terms of Collection:
Limit cans/bags to five per collection.
Place your trash at curb by 5:00 am on your collection day.
Put your yard waste in bags or boxes that can be closed.
Cut branches to 4 ft lengths and bundle them.
Do not use 55-gallon drums for waste containers.
Cans can not exceed 35 pounds.

Tires and lead acid batteries
Containers with free liquids like paint and insecticides
Branches in excess of 4 inches in diameter
Concrete, cement, bricks, tile or shingles
Refrigerator and A/C Units (has to have sticker on it from certified technician so we know the freon and compressor has been removed according to EPA LAWS Stickers
should be visible to the driver for garbage collections. Stickers will be changed with every quarter…

Billling Information:
Residential Subscription Service is billed three times a year. If service is disrupted for non-pay of invoices there will be a $20.00 reinstatement fee. There is a $30.00 NSF Fee on all returned checks. You must call Customer Service to cancel or Transfer Service.

TIP: Cut up your tree limbs small enough to fit your trash container or bag without sticking out, just don’t make it to heavy. If you have some small logs, spread them in several containers or bags. Remember they don’t have to take more that their limit of 5 containers or bags, if you have more than 5, put 5 out each trash day. Some of those guys on the truck won’t take any bags in a large stack just to show you 5 is the limit.
