John and his wife Aleta moved to Northpark in 2003. A retired U.S. Marine Corps officer, John is currently a professor of political science and public administration at the University of New Orleans. John’s goal on the Board is to keep Northpark’s property values at their maximum by ensuring the neighborhood remains a safe and attractive place in which to live. “I will direct my effort toward making sure that we maintain a neighborhood secure from both crime and flooding, that we have effective and enforced covenants, and that we keep our tranquil ambiance.”

My wife Jill and I moved to Northpark in the spring of 2002. We have both been residents of the Northshore for many years before, and looked long and hard before identifying Northpark as the place we wanted to be. Best decision we ever made! Northpark is truly one of our areas finest neighborhoods in terms of location, value and layout.
I began my professional life as a CPA, starting in southern Michigan and ending my public accounting career in New Orleans before moving into the commercial real estate industry in 1984. I moved to the Northshore in the summer of 1990 after joining Stirling Properties in 1989. I have been with Stirling Properties ever since and am the Vice President of Development and Finance. Working so close to my home and our empty nest (well, empty of humans) has enabled me to find the time to help with our home owners association in any way I can. Northpark is maturing and we have the opportunity to preserve this beautiful place but it will not happen without the active management our board, committees and volunteers. I am glad to serve the association and look forward to working with my neighbors insuring that our beautiful community matures gracefully, even if I don't.

We are very appreciative of your vote of confidence to manage through the 2008 year. Northpark is one of, if not the premiere property in the area. The board has identified some great initiatives for the future of our subdivision that will enhance that experience and continue to benefit us all. Surrounded by the many committees managed by the residents of our community, we are bound for success. I encourage the continued involvement, constructive feedback and ideas of us all.
